Suffering dream of suffering represents feelings about living with problems or putting up with an unbearable situation. Feeling agonized or reexperiencing the anguish of loss. Experiencing deterioration of some area of your life that can’t be controlled. Cruelty or intentionally hurting others feelings. Feeling powerless to stop someone else’s pain.

Negatively, it may be a sign that you are choosing to put up with problems and not putting enough effort into being happy. Desensitization. Problems expressing your painful emotions or putting up with an unhappy relationship. Experiencing problems recovering from trauma from a shattering ordeal or loss.

Negatively, dreaming about others suffering may be a sign that you are too sympathetic to someone else’s problems. Feeling sorry for someone. Alternatively, it may reflect your cold-hearted mindset towards others problems. Experiencing someone in pain and not caring about it. Desensitization to others feelings.

Example:

A man dreamed that he was suffering from cancer. In waking life he felt that his long-term illness (not serious) was causing a lot of long term problem with his social life that was only getting worse.

Example 2:

A woman dreamed of killing a dog with poison so that it wouldn’t suffer. In waking life she wanted to quickly end a friendship without hurting the person’s feelings.

Example 3:

A man dreamed of seeing his daughter being brutally and coldly murdered and feeling powerless to stop her suffering. In waking life he was having issues reliving the details of his daughters gruesome murder 3 years earlier.

    Having dreams of some type of Dystopia (opposite of Utopia), and in it I see whole populations of Humans suffering in ways that are better to leave out other than: Slavery and extreme forms of Human crimes. Supported by government funding. What does this mean?
